Hi all,

I'm a linux newbie, and have a (possible small) problem:

Slackware seems not to 'see' the parallel:/dev/lp0 port. I'd like to
use an old HP Laserjet 4L printer with CUPS in my Windows LAN.
This (linux) machine also acts as a webserver.
from lpinfo -v I get:

network socket
network http
network ipp
network lpd
direct parallel:/dev/unknown-parallel0 <--- possible problem !!!
direct scsi
serial serial:/dev/ttyS0?baud=115200
