What when system stalled because CD have some errors ?

I use Mandrake 9.1 and few times I put some CD which isn't correct and try
to copy on disk. I got Stalled message in my copy dialog and I pressed
cancel but after few minutes I still didn't get console to write eject
because CD-ROM stil tried to read a CD.
Don't even Ctrl-Alt-Backspace didn't worked becaue all system is stalled.
I simple press restart button on my computer.
Do you have same situations and what you do then?
