GACK! Then load a distro on another box. Forget VMware since if a
Linux distribution will not run in VMware then it is a failure of
VMware not Linux. Hmmm, maybe try Bochs?
IIRC your situation is that for which Bochs was created. Also look
on IRC at irc.freenode.net in the #bochs channel for advice. There
are some very helpful Bochs gurus that hang out there.
