Not at all, click on "Custom Disk Partitioning" during install and
choose where you want things to be. At a minimum, you need a linux
partition and a swap partition.

As far as accounts go, you _must_ have a root account and at least one
_user_ account. Then you set it up for a passwordless login to the user
account and it boots straight to the desktop.

If you are trying to install Linux as a Windows replacement then forget
it. Linux is not a free copy of Windows. Linux is not going to work like
Windows.

We don't want to resemble Windows. We don't want the advertisments, the
spam, the viruses, the government involvement, or any of the rest of
that world.

We would prefer to resemble intelligent people with a purpose, rather
than children with a need to be entertained.

Way too many people make this mistake.

On the other hand, there are more free games available to Linux users
than to Windows users, and the majority of them are free. And if you
learn Linux well, then you have a huge advantage over others in the job
market, because many companies (as well as governments) are switching
over to Linux base OS's.
