I've never read any myself - why would one neeed to (I run hundreds of
machines with debian on). And what would it be?

Doesn't matter - one can alswys fix it and put the fix back into the
package for the benefit of others. That's what makes fixing things in
debian worthwhile - in redhat or suse or mandrake they'll never take a
blind bit of notice. And it means that people do put their effort in and
fix things, instead of shutting up or moaning witlessly in newsgroups.
