Hello guys.
I just upgraded a NVIDIA MX 440 64MB card with a 128MB one that I
acquired and I thought the upgrade would go smooth. Unfortuantly, it
didn't. I was under the impression the driver (module) by NVIDIA
(NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6629) was supportive of all NVIDA GPUs. Especially
when it is the same one. The only difference is the amount of ram (form
64 to 128). To tell you what I'm experiencing, the NVIDIA splash screen
loads and sticks and the desktop and all objects such as icons are out
of focus; to sum it up, a screwed up desktop via KDE. I believe I messed
up with I let Kudzu reconfigure it. My /etc/X11/xorg.conf file was
changed from the original (backed up file). I re-edited entries to
reflect the old xorg.conf file, but does not help. Reverting back to the
"nv" module lets me enter back into the desktop correctly but not
accelreated (of course). I did try to reinstall the driver but that
doesn't help either. Here is my current xorg.conf file:

of the
# file minus the extension (like ".txt" or ".db"). There is normally
# no need to change the default.
# Multiple FontPath entries are allowed (they are concatenated together)
# By default, Red Hat 6.0 and later now use a font server independent of
# the X server to render fonts.

# To customise the XKB settings to suit your keyboard, modify the

# If you have a US Microsoft Natural keyboard, you can use:
# Option "XkbModel" "microsoft"

# Then to change the language, change the Layout setting.
# For example, a german layout can be obtained with:
# Option "XkbLayout" "de"
# or:
# Option "XkbLayout" "de"
# Option "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys"

# If you'd like to switch the positions of your capslock and
