Hi!
I have currently installed MDK 10.0 with KDE 3.2.
1.But it crushes really often , and runs pretty slow.
2.I decide to change window manager to Window Maker ... i there i found
some bugs ( it loads initially 60 MB of RAM , then , although I have no
programs of mine running it goes to 200 MB of RAM...! ) ...
3.When I try to install xmms , it says it couldn't find lot of libraries:
xlib , etc
And lot of other problems... also my friends says that MDK is a poor
distribution ...
My question is :
Could someone recommend my a good distribution of Linux ?
That includes at least these issues:
1. Is stable , runs fast ( on AMD 1,3 Ghz,256 RAM,video 32 MB inboard )
2. is free
3. Is unfriendly ( well , at least installation of xmms must fine ;) )
4. Is pretty standard...
I heard that slackware , Suse , Fedora are nice ? Is that so ?
