No problems, since you know how to use a terminal you probably know how to
symbolic link but if you don't and have installed it from the tarball.
I have installed firefox in /usr/local/firefox
so I go to /usr/bin
and type ln -s /usr/local/firefox/firefox enter
The you can run it from the terminal as before by typing firefox
