Hi all,

I'm trying to get connected to a windoze server (2003, ie. NTFS). It all
works just dandy using mount.cifs For some reason, I just can't get
mount.cifs to work in fstab. I've tried different ways and spellings, but
it doesn't seem to mount.

How do I mount.cifs in fstab? (or is that the wring spot for it anyway)

When I mount via prompt, I need to enter the windoze share as
\\\\IPADDRESS\\SHARENAME... or I get a UNC naming error. Why does it need 4
"\" in front and 2 for the tree?

When I mount via prompt, I specify "user", "pass", and "dom", but I still
get asked the password. Is there a way to pass the password on?

Cheers

Toshi
