Groups and Scripts

hi

I have made a chroot environment and have two users in it

I see they belong to the group: Staff automaticaly

but when I look into the Passwd de number for the groep is: 100 (in de
group file for: users) and Staff have the number 50 in the groupfile)

how is this possible?

why are the users given Staff automaticaly ?

and why do they have the group number 100 if they are STaff

Can I change it savely to the groep users ?
