The web interface is very full featured and yes, you can admin all
aspects of the gallery from a web browser. A firend of mine showed it
to me a while ago and I love it.
I am currently running on Debain Woody (3.0) distribution, Apache
1.3.26 and PHP 4.3.8. The PHP package was from an external source and
not on the debian woody tree.
I think I'll be building a new server with better hardware very soon -
probably with Debian Sarge as my distro. My current Pentium 133MHz
isn't the best at image generation tasks. :-) I would choose anything
but Debain for my servers. Crisp and clean and no caffeine.
My directory permissions are identical to yours. Have fun.
