Thanks, thats really interesting!

I wholeheartedlly agree with the article, networks and the internet
should definately be a public utility much like highways or water.
Data communications has become part of our lives in a big way now, and
many people would struggle without it.

Thats one of the main reasons I decided to put
http://www.northernnet.info up to see if people shared my thoughts, and
to see if we could put something in place.

Hopefully we will be able to build something together and I'll
definately keep the newsgroup posted on any developments ;)
