There are obviously poster to lazy to check and find out things
on their own. Ohmster isn't one of them, perhaps he's just not
that quick with understanding man pages?

He could probably benefit from checking the 'info' pages coming
with most commands, those provide usually good examples one can
try out to get the concept.

And get down to:

Navigating through the GNU info system isn't that obvious, but
usually worth the trouble. ;-)
