I said nothing about KDE either. What I do know that since the original
poster is experiencing those easily avoided problems with XP, then he's
likely to have a difficult time with Linux, just as I am.

I probably know a bit more than the average PC user. I build my own PCs and
upgrade them as well. I have 3 OSs on my main PC, and two on my media PC.
I also burned Beatrix Linux to a CD. It runs from the CD - very cool.

BTW - my Windows OSs are Retail versions.

Anyway, Linux, for me, is turning out to be much more difficult to use than
I anticipated. That is my experience and worth repeating to the original
poster IMO.
