Ahh, let me see if I meet this definition. Bigot= One who is
strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is
intolerant of those who differ. Jesus must have been a bigot too. Great
word, I think I'll keep it. In any case, back to the Lenova topic.

Maybe I didn't explain the situation very well, and this goes for the
jackass guy as well. Here's some information from people that actually
work in this business. No, Best Buy and Radio Shack doesn't count sweetie.

IBM owns a current 20% stake in Lenova's stock which IBM can and will sell
at any time. Lenova will take over support of all IBM pc/laptop contracts
and warranties in 2 years. At that time, you are no longer are under the
legal protection of International Business Machines and US National and
International law. You are under the legal protection of the Communist
Republic of China, or lack thereof. And I'm wondering how that will work
since Mr. Gates has yet to sell a legal copy of windows in China... but
that's offtopic.

At that time, if your warranty is not upheld you will find recourse
in their friendly legal system. Let me know how that goes, btw.

That's why I said that the main concern with any mobile device is
dependable hardware support. It will break and it will need to be
repaired. Choose a vendor that can be depended upon to "support" it.

I'm glad everyone here has had wonderful experiences with IBM. I have as
well. I have purchased 75 of the T42/T43 series laptops. Their support
is great and I know all of their tech's very well. And it's easy to know
them all because there are only a few per state now.

Which is why I am telling you linux users this. If you were windows
users, I wouldn't stop to piss on you. This isn't about the past,
it's about the future. And that's what you are purchasing with a warranty.
Ignorance is not bliss. Choose wisely and good luck. Even you, Che
Guevara jackass guy. :)
