After struggling with many different issues last night I finally
said "screw it" and re-installed Breezy after learning that the SCSI
disk issue is a known issue. I sincerely hope they have that worked
out by the time Dapper is officially released because scsi disks
just disappearing after update is going to be a major pain in the
a** for some people.

No worries there, Dapper is going to be a fully polished version.

I know that I've been using it (the Kubuntu sibling) for some time now
(since Flight 6 was released) and it's been pretty good for me. They are
doing updates to it daily at this point, and I'm expecting that to kind of
simmer down after the release. However, there are a few unpolished things
that they have to work on yet, and if/when I get the time I need to check
and see if some of the issues that I'm experiencing are "known" issues or
not.

For example, I have yet to get my digital camera to work with it, even
though it says that it should. I have a Canon PowerShot A400 and it is
supposed to work, but all I get out of the system is "Bad Parameters" when
trying to access it using the kioslave interface to it, which is kind of
disappointing.
