The disk was raw just as it was the first time I installed the same XP
CD.
My Toshiba Tecra booted up in less than ten minutes from an Ubuntu
live disk when I discovered XP's formatting failure this morning at
03:48.
The first thing Ub did was to look for, like a babe with open lips its
mother's
nipple, was a Wi-Fi connection.
Me thinks the Diamond M Ranch has been selling lemons and when a
hard drive cannot squeeze any more lemonade from them, users are
expected to buy support or new software. Too bad so many have thrown
away perfectly fine harddrives believing the software did not have
flaws
designed into it.
I am running a DBAN Mersenne twister PRNG stream@six rounds and will
do a complete install of Ubuntu when I return home in a few hours. I
don't
the Diamond M boys, Bill or Steve. In the meantime I would appreciate
any feedback on how to get XP to install as sweetly as Linux.
