Tools/Attachments?
not you want to save in the same directory every time. What verson are
you on?
Same version here both on my Linux and XP boxes........both versions have a "Download Actions" header with a subtext of "Thunderbird can automatically save or open attachments of certain types" located beneath the "Save" directory option. Click on the "View & Edit Actions" button to set it up the way you want it.
