Install disc verification fails

Trying to install fedora core 5, I've downloaded all CD and DVD images.
Checked the SHA1SUM and verified to be correct. I burn copy after copy
after copy using different burners. I try to verify on different
machines, with different CD and DVD drives, every disc fails
verification. During install it either hangs or complains about missing
files. I don't get it...
