Re: Thinking about a linux server

Kill Bill enlightened us with:
I'm thinking of building a Linux file server. In the past, I've used
RedHat as the OS, but I'm wondering about Ubuntu. The file server is
going to be placed in my closet, with 2TB of hard drives using php,
mySQL, Apache, and SMB services running on it.

Whats better Fedora or Ubuntu as the OS for such a server?

I've installed Ubuntu, and it works great as a server. I haven't used
a RPM-based distribution for years and frankly I have never felt the
need to.
