Tonto <tonto@xxxxxxxx>:
I have a stupid question. In "mission critical" application, what are
your solutions and why about systems to use?
1) Linux
2) Windows
3) the old AS/400
4) Sun, Solaris
It is only for information,
Define "mission critical." To me it means "whatever this thing does
must do it reliably, 24x7x365.25, or the business goes under."
I've seen uptimes for Sun/Solaris, AS/400 (and its ilk), Unix/Linux
which easily beat a mere 365.25 days. Windows, I've never seen it but
its devotees swear it can do it too. I don't much care. Windows has
bigger problems (for me) than uptimes.
