Now, you obviously don't have a clue but still seem to think that
your are qualified to judge Linux.

Why I allways find people like you when I try to ask or discuss about Linux.
Is it so serious blasphemy, if I feel I have found a thing to improve in Linux, that you got to make it personal ?
- There is no reason, why an ordinary user should be able to see and possibly change system directories and configuration files.
- There is no reason, why users data files should be readable to the group or world if she doesn't herself set them so.
( Somebody said there is no virus for Linux. Still there is a lot of people trying to get a backdoor to our systems. There is no need to leave any possibilities.
What is anyway the difference between a modern virus and manual attack against your walls - both try to take hold of your property. )
