A well-known Linux distribution isnt it?
But it probably requires much more than 4 GB to be installed....
isnt it?

Naaa - about 2GB for this one (Xubuntu). with everything I added. AS the
web site put it, "For installation 1.5G of free hard drive space is
needed
besides swap space." Ubuntu and Kubuntu need about 3 GB ... ALL less
than
Winders - from http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20060518-6863.html

Minimum Requirements (Vista-Capable PCs):

* 800 MHz Intel-compatible processor
* 512MB of RAM
* 20GB HD

"Recommended Requirements (Premium-Ready PCs):

* 1 GHz Intel-compatible processor
* 1GB RAM
* 40GB HD with at least 15GB "free space" ". (umm, that equals 55GB -
BTB)

Which OS are these Recommended Requirements for?

It does not play any role for me which requirements Vista has because the
question for me was not whether
Vista or Ubuntu 6.10 would require a larger HD but whether I could have used
Ubuntu 6.10 with a HD on which I only have about 4 GB.
By the way, did you know this?
