I have an older HP Presario (500MHz) that runs Win98 and WinXP fine.
Wanted to install Ubuntu Linux, but the system will not boot from the CD.
The BIOS is from 1999, and an update cannot be found. Have tried another
CD drive to no avail. Anyone know how to get the install process going
without booting up the CD?
Have you looked at the bios to see if it has a boot from cd option and
that it is set to be first option ?
If there is no option or it still doesn't work try this
