In alt.os.linux yousaf.hassan@xxxxxxxxx:
Hi
I am trying to install nvidia drivers using yumex from livna
repository. (I tried to install the driver from nvidia site, but it
fails to load the kernel module nvidia.ko. Therefore, following the
advice on some newsgroups, I decided to go for the livna respository.)
The following error occurs when I try to process the queue:
xorg-x11-drv-nvidia conflicts with selinux-policy < 2.2.29-2.fc5
If yum doesn't want to remove half your system, check carefully
before pressing "y" and you don't need selinux, you can try:
yum remove selinux-policy
Before this, also using yumex, I updated my kernel to:
2.6.18-1.2200.fc5
Unsure if this is really the FC5 kernel which has an nvidia
module as rpm available?
Good luck
