file doesn't get to the printer

Hi group,


I have a HP LeserJet 5L connected to my Suse Linux Enterprise 10 box but
printing doesn't work. I have tried testing it by

$ lpr testpage.txt
$

and nothing happens except I keep getting this answer

$ lpq
laserjet5l is ready and printing
Rank Owner Job File(s) Total Size
active chris 6 testpage.txt 1024 bytes
$

Why doesn't the job gets to the paper when the printer is connected and on?
