I just found another feature, as I was reading your reply. The bar that
shows the avatar is about 4 1/2 print lines wide, with three headers;
Subject, From, and Date. There's also a small triangle next to the header
lines. Clicking on the triangle turns off the avatar, and narrows the bar
to a single print line height, with the three headers in that single row.
Cute eye candy, but only gains a couple of extra lines of height in the
body pane. Still it makes the layout appear roomier.

You know, I only report these kinds of things to you because I know you
pop a woody when discussing trivial details of news readers. I'll keep it
a secret, just between the two of us, but you really should seek
professional help about that. It'd got your mother worried. :P
