Triggering actions from Hal events

Hi all,
did someone know how to trigger a script from an HAL event ?
I'd like to execute a script everytime a CD (or a DVD) is inserted in
the drive.
My distribution is FC5 with no graphic environment and I'm using
hal-0.5.7-3
