Well, the reason I asked if other distros have some common Unix/Linux
command is because sometime later I intend to give the RHCE exam. I wold
like to know if practising on RHCE is mandatory for this or I can use
any
other Linux distro and still that would allow me to perform most common
tasks?

RHEL, CentOS and Fedora are the same.

Fedora is the development environment fro RHEL.

CentOS is based on the source RPMs for RHEL.

When it comes to other distros, you will have that they do have other
distro
dependent tools than RedHat, which makes that you won't be able to do
everything the same way as in RedHat and then we have differences of file
placements, where you can kind of could say you have RedHat on one end and
Debian on the other.

Thank you so much for the info. I was on FC a few minutes ago which hanged
and only the mouse could move. Ideally, in Windows, one can just press Ctrl,
Alt, Del and choose to end the "Not Responding" task. What would be the
equivalent in Linux(any flavour).
I tried to open the xterm but since nothing was clickable, I just reset the
whole system which I think is not the best way to get the system running
again. SO wat can be the solution here.
Also, the system hanged because I launched RhythmBox to listen to radio but
when I clicked on Radio, nothing showed in the box.
Can you please tell me how can one listen to live radio streaming in Linux.
I have read that XMMS is good. How do I go about it?

Thanks, :Poms
