Hi Degarmo,
I am a Linux newbie (SUSE) and find it fascinating. I am thinking
that it's something that I'd like to do for a living.
What is "it" in this case? What kind of work would you like to do?
Managing Linux systems is something completely different from working
on the Linux kernel itself.
Also, I really like the Suse flavor, but would I be better off
learning and working with Redhat simply because it is more widely
used than is Suse?
I'd at least take a look at RedHat, Debian and Ubuntu, as they are the
most popular.
