But how can I check whit hardware linux did detect?

live cd/dvd. Just try all of them to make sure which distribution works
the best for you.

For the gaming. It doesn't really matter. If I can't played on linux
then I always have windows xp on my desktop.
But how I have ones a duel startup, but the windows on the laptop
works a little @#$. They put my hard disk in two. Then it comes that
windows both need that driver. There are also hard disk that you can't
see. The have the installation on it. I really don't want to mess that
up. And 40 gig for one os system doesn't work very well. Tried that
ones never again.
