SuSe 9.0 Keyboard/Mouse lockup with "some" internet sites.

1) Unfamiliar with Linux.
2) I cannot surf for results because on some sites - the system locks
up, especially with searches :( I am posting this from work on an
W2K machine because of this stability problem.
I have a nVidia chip on my motherboard, which may be causing problems,
but to me this would not explain why it appears to be associated with
certain internet sites or why this would lock both my keyboard and
mouse.
Since it locks up I cannot research the sites that cause the problem,
for example Google search works but if I open the result I get a lock
up.
I installed Firefox 2.0 and it seems to work till I hit one of these
sites, I believe that the "session" kept hitting the site and locking
the system before I could do anything about it. I deleted the Firefox
files for the local user and it seemed to work, Firefox 2.0 started to
open, then the "mozzilla feedback agent" opened and my machine locked
up again.
I looked through the logs but nothing stood out as to the cause of
this problem.
I am assuming that I did not install "something" necessary to support
the feature that the site is attempting to use. What is especially
frustrating is that the only way to get past this is to reboot and
wait, try something else it breaks, reboot and wait. I would
appreciate any pointer as to what may be causing this problem.
Thanks for the consideration,
Scott M.
