There may be 350 distros, but in reality, only a handful are widely used,
and the common features among them far outweigh their differences. Haiku

Not sure about that, Haiku isn't like Linux at all.
Haiku, if it really is like BeOS, is not slower than
Windows like Linux, it is a lot faster!
It is very easy to use even for people who don't know
anything about computers or software and that is the
way a OS should be IMHO.
Computers and OS'es should make life easier not more
complicated, that is what BeOS (Haiku) does.
So I really hope that Haiku will be released anytime soon.
No matter what people say about choices and freedom,
IMO it is a waste of effort more then anything, to release
350 + versions of Linux, it's kind of a joke really.
