After using Knode for
awhile and getting used to it you will NEVER want
to go back to outlook express ever again. Play
around and change your background text color and
font. Display replies in different colors etc

Interesting. I have never used knode (Using Xnews right now.). Is knode
better than pan? For binary newsgroups as well? I will have to search
through my FC5 distro and see if I have it.

No, pan is a better choice for 'mixed' reading IMO. You should use the
stable version however. It also has better scoring than knode.

If you are using Xnews under wine and you dont have any issues with it,
why switch?

I use the news reader in Thunderbird works great for me!!

I personally prefer KNode over Thunderbird.
