I want to speed up the launches of several apps I use often, especially
Firefox.
Okay, just a few ays ago I got my ass chewed out because I dared to say apps
don't load as fast on Linux as they do on Windows. (Let's ignore the issue
that I didn't deserve any of the crap I got.) I was given lectures about how
I should be fixing problems instead of complaining about them, and how Linux
is faster than Windows if I just configure it properly, but what I'm seeing
now is basically "Learn to live with it".
So let me cut right to the chase; I want Firefox to load as fast on Linux as
it does on Windows. (Which is less than 0.5 seconds for initial launch.) Is
there any way, short of modifying the source code myself, that this can be
done?
