Oh I forgot to mention that as it stands right now, I get absolutely no
window decorations when I have beryl activate. I am guessing that is
because no theme is active or is something else potentially the problem?

have you tried just clicking on the thyme it works for me, and what
os are you using. it seems you are using Xorg.conf
so have you enababled composite in Xorg
su
nvidia-xconfig --composite
" " --allow-glx-with-composite
" " --render-accel
" " --add-argb-glx-visuals
And if you just using Xorg, compiz does not need to be install
along with beryl. Only if you are using Xgl do the both of them
need to be install.
second are all the packages below install
beryl-core
beryl-plugins
emerald:window decorator
emerald-themes
aquamarine
beryl-settings
beryl-manager
this is just checking what you have install
.
