Hello Pete,

I´ve tried many distros...the one I would recommend for someone such as
yourself is ubuntu 6.06 or 6.10

I´m currently using Ubuntu. It´s a great OS. There are also some fantastic
walkthroughs on how to get all the multimedia and restricted formats and
plugins to work..
