How to install GRUB using Knoppix ?

Got myself into a bit of a bind ....
I have a Windows XP instillation which when updating Guenuine Advantage
partially over wrote my GRUB boot partition, leaving a screen which just
says "GRUB" and then crashes with the fan doing 90 to the dozen.
What I want to do is rewrite the GRUB boot partition with a fresh
instillation of GRUB, then partition is shown to be 7.8MB using QTParted. I
have a NTFS partition covering the rest of the disk which I wanted to resize
using QTParted, but QTParted is saying I need to do a Windows 'chkdisk /f'
and I cannot boot windows.
How do I install GRUB using Knoppix ?
I am familuar with Linux command line but only know the basics with GRUB.
Either that or how do I make a CD with GRUB on ? A CD with GRUB on would be
great if that is possible.
Many thanks in advance,
Aaron
