Ubuntu 6.10 => 7.04 "upgrade" ?

Anybody here tried the Ubuntu 6.10 to Ubuntu 7.04 upgrade as available
via the notification icon? I have always done fresh installs when I
used to use other distros, but Ubuntu has been so user friendly as a
rule I was thinking maybe, just maybe, I could have it (apt-get/
synaptic) do the upgrade automagically, see what happens. I am going
to have to reinstall my nvidia driver anyhow, e.g. after such an
upgrade, in preparation for installing Beryl. Thoughts?
