To the point: not a happy time.
Both LiveCD ran fine, but an attempt to load 3.3 via the desktop
Install icon rendered, in part, this failure - I send a bug report:

Trying each supplied install option concluded with the same problem.
So, went to the last stable version 3.26 - it installed !
However, the LiveCD (with nVidia) resolution and quality compared to
the installed out come were very different - the installed version
had an ugly green line around all text.
I chose the "Gnome" install but there must have been 75% KDE apps
loaded. KDE is good but why load KDE apps into a Gnome GUI if that
was not the chosen environ?
But wait, there's more:
I put Ubuntu back on - overwriting the previous OS -
and I found that ALL users' .mozilla/firefox/***.default/prefs.js had
been overwritten by Sabayon - small issue as it was the home page and
cookies changed. It was MUCH worse when each of us tried our email
program Thunderbird. As with Forefox prefs.js all our prefs.js were
overwritten to point to Sabayon - had to set up our email info again.
Then, all our email was gone, plus address books. Was able to copy the
old email to the new folders in /../Mail/* but the address books were
lost. Luckily, all we needed to do was go thru' our email and save the
addresses from there.
Never, in the 6 years using various Linux distros have I seen one be so
invasive of user files as this one. In fact, never has any other distro
been invasive.
I don't recommend Sabayon at this time.
