Anybody here tried the Ubuntu 6.10 to Ubuntu 7.04 upgrade as available
via the notification icon? I have always done fresh installs when I
used to use other distros, but Ubuntu has been so user friendly as a
Ayup, I had zero problems doing the install.
Oh, no, wait, I'm sorry, I actually went about the upgrade a different way.
I used the "aptitude dist-upgrade && aptitude dist-upgrade && aptitude
install linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20-14-generic" route. After all of
that finished, I rebooted and had Feisty running. nVidia drivers installed.
XFCE running with Beryl as the window manager.

push 'puree,' then bake you into a pie and feed it to the social worker! And
when he says, 'Mmmm, this is great, what's your secret?' I'm gonna say...
