unmount filesystem in maintenance mode runlevel1

Hey Guys,

I have a server that keeps going into maintance mode since their is a
filesystem it is no longer being used(someone forgot to unmount it /
delete it from /etc/fstab)
How do I get to /etc/fstab from the maintenance mode? It seems the
path are not identified so when I do PATH= ..etc it says it cannot be
found.

Any help greatly appricated.
