Clustering is turning a bunch of computers into a single computer through
distributed cooperative processing.
Would they benefit from it? No, they're machines.
Would you benefit from it? For the pure geekiness of building a cluster,
sure, why not.
However, a cluster probably won't do you much good other than the
challenge of building it and heating you house, unless you have some
serious math to crunch.
I've got about a dozen old machines here I've been wanting to do that with
myself but never have the time.
