You *have* *to* *reboot* to apply patches? Your "operating system" /must/
be seriously broken.

Any co-hosting company will tell you that they have to /routinely/ reboot
Windows servers at least weekly, often daily. Co-hosting companies charge
much more for Windows servers because they need continual maintenance.
Linux or BSD servers require little or no intervention and /certainly/ no
"reboots".
