it seems to be that the gma950 integrated gfx chipset from intel
which has opensource drivers has a max resolution of 2048x1536@75
the specs you can find here http://www.intel.com/products/chipsets/gma950/
if you really need more i would go for a nvidia based solution as those drivers
altho closed source are pretty good. except for sli support these drivers are on par
with their windows equivalents imho
