Don't buy anything that is not a well used, solid, tried and true,
standard (of course some *like* being on the bleeding edge and trying new
junk that "halfway" to "does not" work). Serial ports should be serial
ports, period. Not some "adapter" that plugs into the God forsaken USB
slot on your PC. USB has valid uses but adapting a well known standard to
USB is NOT one of them. Buy a serial card if your crap PC only came with
USB like some of the junk PCs I have seen from Dell lately.
