Gnome 7.04 for some reason doesn't work on my machine, whereas 7.0 did.
You're right, the applications menu does offer some choices, but not
20,000.

Gnome is just up to version 2.18 - you're obviously posting from sometime
in
the future, when CNR is ready for use!

The Synaptic package manager does all you ask of CNR, costs /nothing,/ and
works properly.

All your points are well taken. Although there is no need for the 'attitude'
of some.
Right now I am using Debian 4.0 and enjoying it. Yes, synaptic works just
fine.
But CNR 6 is qualitatively different. I know from previous versions.
Window$, look out.
