I'm working on a means to filter system-wide with root owning the
file... that'll keep things clean even when he learns to circumvent
his RC file.
Keeping leafnode would actually have been a means to solve that very
"problem". Then again, once your son learns to edit his score file,
he might discover free news servers and whatnot, and whoa, you'll
have to impose further restrictions to keep him from viewing all that
inappropriate material out there. The horror.
As for root owning the score file, anything that lives in a directory
owned by a user, is removable (and thus replaceable) by that user.
