No HD for DSL

I have a AT&T Globalist cerca 1995 with a 1gig hard drive, about 120mb ram and Phoenix bios of the same era on a 100mhz, yes 100mhz, pentium cpu. It is still running Windows 95. I want to load it with Damn Small Linux, the os that seems to make most sense for such old iron. Guess what. I looked at the bios and the choices I have for booting are; A then C, C then A, or just C. Of course I want help as to what to do to get it to boot "D", or the CD first. Can anyone tell me where to start. I've been using Linux on my other machine for a good five years now and will not go back to $soft.
