Why Vista was designed to suck...

I know I'm preaching to the choir, but I just came across this gem, and
thought I would post the link here for all to enjoy:

According to this analysis of Vista by the Univ of Auckland Computer
Science Dept, Vista isn't really a computer operating system. It is more
accurate to think of it as a software system for enforcing digital rights
for the entertainment industry, that also has some OS capabilities
included. That is why, after millions of man-hours and billions of
dollars in development costs, the "user experience" is worse than the OS
it is meant to replace.

In essence, M$ expects their users to spend more money for hardware and
software to get a computer that protects the Hollywood execs, and works
worse than an older, cheaper system.
